Batsheva's summer intensive course for young students
Batsheva's summer intensive course is intended for young dancers in two age groups: ages 14-15 and ages 16-19. The course offers outstanding dance students from around the world the opportunity to professionally learn Batsheva Dance Company's work processes, during a week of concentrated training with their peers. The aim of the course is to upgrade skills and proficiencies. The group's work emphasizes the process experienced by each of the individual dancers.
Course classes are comprised of Gaga classes, the movement language created by Ohad Naharin, that serves as the daily training routine of the company's dancers, and learning to present many excerpts from the vast Naharin and Batsheva repertoire.
The programme is tought by past and current Batsheva dancers, and directed by Hillel Kogan, Batsheva Ensemble's Rehearsal Director.
Registration will begin in March.
